These Terms of Service govern your use of the Art of Hockey website, services, programs, registrations, purchases, memberships, video analysis, and other offerings provided by Art of Hockey LLC (“Art of Hockey,” “AOH,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By using our website, submitting a form, registering for a program, purchasing a service, submitting video, joining a membership, or participating in Art of Hockey programming, you agree to these Terms.

If you are registering, purchasing, or submitting information on behalf of a minor player, you confirm that you are the player’s parent or legal guardian and have authority to agree to these Terms on the player’s behalf.

1. Art of Hockey Services

Art of Hockey provides hockey development services, which may include:

  • Private hockey lessons

  • Small group training

  • Camps

  • Clinics

  • One-week intensives

  • Daytime hockey development programs

  • Video analysis and film review

  • Memberships

  • Coach calls

  • Player development guidance

  • Related hockey training, education, and support services

Art of Hockey’s training model is built around player development, Hockey IQ, decision-making, confidence, creativity, and skills that transfer to real game situations. AOH’s brand and training philosophy focus on helping players “think, create, and play the game with confidence.”

Specific services, pricing, schedules, locations, availability, and inclusions may vary by program and will be described on the applicable registration page, product page, invoice, checkout page, or written communication.

2. No Guaranteed Outcomes

Art of Hockey provides coaching, feedback, instruction, and development support. We do not guarantee any specific result.

This includes, but is not limited to, guarantees related to:

  • Skill improvement

  • Team placement

  • Tryout results

  • Playing time

  • Recruiting outcomes

  • Advancement to higher levels of hockey

  • Scholarships

  • Selection for teams, camps, showcases, or programs

  • Injury prevention

  • Performance in games or practices

Player development depends on many factors, including effort, consistency, health, attendance, prior experience, coachability, opportunity, and other circumstances outside of Art of Hockey’s control.

3. Parent/Guardian Responsibility for Minors

Many Art of Hockey services are designed for youth and high school players. For any player under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete registration, submit forms, make purchases, provide consents, and communicate with Art of Hockey.

Parents and guardians are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate player information

  • Disclosing relevant health, injury, safety, or participation concerns

  • Ensuring the player has appropriate equipment

  • Ensuring timely arrival and pickup

  • Reviewing all program details

  • Communicating schedule conflicts, injuries, or concerns promptly

  • Ensuring the player follows Art of Hockey, coach, and facility expectations

4. Registration and Payment

Registration is not guaranteed until all required forms, acknowledgments, and payments are completed.

Art of Hockey may use third-party platforms for payment processing, scheduling, registration, forms, memberships, email, text communication, video submission, and other business operations. These platforms may include services such as Stripe, Squarespace, scheduling or registration software, video platforms, rink systems, or other third-party providers.

Payment information is processed through third-party payment providers. Art of Hockey does not store full credit card numbers on its own systems. The AOH Privacy Policy explains how personal information, payment-related information, registration information, and video submissions may be collected and used.

You are responsible for providing accurate billing, contact, player, and registration information.

5. Memberships and Recurring Billing

Some Art of Hockey services may be offered as memberships or recurring subscriptions.

Memberships may be billed monthly, annually, or according to the billing option selected at checkout. By enrolling in a recurring membership, you authorize Art of Hockey or its payment processor to charge your selected payment method according to the plan selected.

Membership-specific details, including pricing, benefits, billing, cancellation, unused benefit rules, and refund terms, may be governed by separate membership terms. The Founder’s Membership Terms, for example, state that Founder’s Membership is offered at $249/month or $2,499/year through Stripe, that members may cancel before the next billing cycle, and that membership payments are generally non-refundable once the billing period begins.

If there is a conflict between these general Terms and specific written membership terms, the more specific membership terms will control for that membership.

6. Video Analysis and Film Review

For video analysis, film review, or related services, you are responsible for submitting usable, accessible, and authorized video footage.

By submitting video, clips, links, game film, or related materials, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to share the footage with Art of Hockey

  • The link or file is accessible

  • The submitted footage is appropriate for coaching and review

  • You understand that poor video quality, incomplete footage, or missing context may limit the feedback provided

Art of Hockey may use submitted video to provide coaching feedback, evaluate player development needs, prepare written or verbal analysis, support membership services, and communicate recommendations. The AOH Privacy Policy states that submitted game film may be used for coaching feedback and related services, and that AOH does not sell submitted game film or publicly post player video for marketing without appropriate permission.

Turnaround times, review length, number of games, number of clips, call availability, film prep, priority review, and other inclusions may vary by product or membership.

7. In-Person Training, Camps, Clinics, Lessons, and Programs

In-person Art of Hockey services may include private lessons, small group training, camps, clinics, one-week intensives, daytime hockey development, scrimmages, evaluations, off-ice activities, or other related programming.

Players must bring and wear all required hockey equipment unless otherwise stated. Art of Hockey may refuse participation if a player does not have proper equipment or if participation appears unsafe.

Art of Hockey may group players based on age, birth year, skill level, experience, safety, position, developmental fit, enrollment, or program design. Initial registration does not guarantee placement in a specific group. AOH may move, combine, or adjust groups as needed.

Art of Hockey may also adjust instructors, schedules, locations, formats, group sizes, or programming due to ice availability, facility rules, enrollment, weather, safety concerns, illness, coach availability, or other circumstances.

8. Waivers, Assumption of Risk, and Safety Acknowledgments

Hockey involves inherent risks. Participation may involve skating, physical exertion, contact, collisions, falls, sticks, pucks, boards, ice conditions, equipment issues, fatigue, and other risks that may result in injury.

Before participating in any in-person Art of Hockey activity, players and/or their parent or legal guardian may be required to complete additional documents, which may include:

  • Participant waiver and release

  • Assumption of risk agreement

  • Medical or emergency contact form

  • Concussion and injury acknowledgment

  • Media release

  • Facility-required waivers or forms

These documents are separate from these Terms and may be required before participation.

Art of Hockey does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, physical therapy, athletic training, rehabilitation, return-to-play clearance, or mental health services. Families are responsible for consulting qualified professionals regarding injuries, health conditions, limitations, and participation decisions.

9. Injuries, Illness, and Participation Concerns

If a player is injured, becomes ill, or has a health or safety concern that may affect participation, the parent, guardian, or adult participant should notify Art of Hockey as soon as possible.

Art of Hockey will review the situation and may, at its discretion, offer a solution that works best under the circumstances. Possible options may include:

  • Pausing participation

  • Moving the player to a future session

  • Offering a rain check

  • Providing a credit

  • Adjusting the program plan

  • Issuing a partial or full refund

  • Other case-by-case solutions

These options are not guaranteed and will depend on the program type, timing, availability, costs already incurred, facility commitments, and other relevant circumstances.

Art of Hockey may remove a player from participation if the player appears injured, ill, unsafe, unable to participate appropriately, or in need of medical attention.

10. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refunds are generally discretionary unless otherwise stated in writing or required by law.

Art of Hockey understands that schedules, injuries, illness, and family circumstances can change. We will make reasonable efforts to work with families when appropriate, but registration and payment do not guarantee a refund, credit, rain check, makeup, or transfer.

General Refund Policy

Unless a specific program, product, or membership states otherwise:

  • Refunds are not automatic

  • Refunds are reviewed case by case

  • Credits, rain checks, pauses, transfers, or makeups may be offered instead of refunds

  • Missed sessions, no-shows, and late cancellations are generally not refundable

  • Refunds may be reduced based on payment processing fees, facility costs, ice costs, staffing commitments, administrative costs, or services already provided

  • Art of Hockey may decline refund requests at its discretion

Video Analysis Refunds

Video analysis purchases are generally non-refundable once review work has started, feedback has been prepared, or the analysis has been delivered.

If a submitted video is inaccessible, unusable, incomplete, or not provided in a reasonable time, Art of Hockey may request a corrected submission, offer a credit, or determine another appropriate solution at its discretion.

Membership Refunds

Membership payments are governed by the applicable membership terms. Membership payments are generally non-refundable once the billing period begins. Cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically refund prior payments, unless otherwise stated in the specific membership terms or approved by Art of Hockey.

Camps, Clinics, Lessons, Small Groups, Intensives, and Daytime Programs

For in-person programming, refund, credit, and makeup decisions may depend on:

  • Timing of the cancellation

  • Whether the spot can be filled

  • Ice and facility commitments

  • Staffing commitments

  • Program format

  • Whether the program has already started

  • Whether the player missed sessions voluntarily

  • Injury, illness, or emergency circumstances

If Art of Hockey cancels a program entirely and does not offer a reasonable alternative, AOH may offer a refund, credit, rain check, or transfer option. If a family cancels or a player misses a session, refunds are not guaranteed.

11. Schedule Changes, Weather, Facility Issues, and Cancellations by AOH

Art of Hockey may modify or cancel programming due to weather, rink or facility issues, low enrollment, safety concerns, illness, coach availability, ice changes, or other circumstances.

When possible, Art of Hockey will provide reasonable notice. Depending on the situation, AOH may offer:

  • A rescheduled session

  • A modified program

  • A credit

  • A rain check

  • A transfer to a future opportunity

  • A refund, at AOH’s discretion

  • Art of Hockey is not responsible for facility closures, rink conditions, third-party scheduling changes, travel delays, or other circumstances outside its control.

12. Conduct Expectations

Players, parents, guardians, and family members are expected to act respectfully toward coaches, players, families, rink staff, officials, volunteers, and other participants.

Art of Hockey may remove, suspend, or discontinue service to any player or family for conduct that AOH determines to be unsafe, disruptive, disrespectful, abusive, harassing, threatening, dishonest, or inconsistent with the program environment.

Art of Hockey may request permission to use photos, videos, testimonials, player feedback, or other content for marketing, social media, website, educational, or promotional purposes.

A separate media release may be required for identifiable player images, videos, names, testimonials, or game footage. The AOH Privacy Policy states that Art of Hockey will not intentionally use a player’s name, image, likeness, testimonial, game footage, or identifiable information for public marketing without appropriate permission.

Families who do not want their player photographed or recorded for marketing purposes should notify Art of Hockey in writing.
